Cleve Lodge - Long Eaton's Hidden Gem

Cleve Lodge has seen a surge in business this year, thanks to a packed calendar of social events and a steady stream of public bookings.  From elegant weddings and respectful wakes to lively birthday parties and popular Sunday “Fairs,” the hall has become a hub for the local community. Weekly business meetings and social functions also contribute to its vibrant atmosphere.  Several local branches of national charities have even chosen the hall for their training events.

This increased activity is welcome news, but like many businesses, the Masonic Hall is feeling the pinch of rising operating costs.  Repairs, maintenance, and particularly energy expenses have all increased, posing a challenge to the hall’s finances.

Despite these challenges, the Freemasons continue to play a vital role in the local community. Cleve Lodge offers a versatile range of facilities and excellent catering options, making it an ideal venue for a variety of events.

Supporting the Community Through LEMBA

The Long Eaton Masonic Benevolent Association (LEMBA), a registered Masonic charity, has been actively supporting local causes.  This year, LEMBA has made significant donations to all local food banks and various community groups.  The charity also demonstrated its commitment to local youth by initially nominating Sawley Youth Club for a Community Award grant.  When the youth club unfortunately lost its premises, LEMBA redirected the grant to another deserving organization, LENS (Long Eaton Natural History Society).  Individual Masonic Lodges have also been contributing by collecting and delivering donated items to local food banks.

The Masonic Hall and its associated charities remain dedicated to serving the community and providing valuable resources and support.  While rising costs present a challenge, the hall continues to thrive as a popular venue and a vital part of the Long Eaton landscape.
